I am trying to figure out a way to create a parameter in PSE that allows users to select and set a softType string attribute that is comma separated (i.e., multiple values)
For example:
"setAttributeValue" Parameter in PSE has selectable discrete set string values: A|B|C|D. Any value selected by a user is then mapped to softType attribute "attributeValue"
User wants to configure a part with the value of "attributeValue = A,B,D"
User also wants to configure a part where "attributeValue = C"
So, how can a parameter in Product Structure Explorer make this happen? I have tried making the attribute "single value = No", and this allows a user to select several values in the configurator (e.g., user can select "A", "B", & "D"; but the end result is only the ability to create several variant solutions, each solution allowing only one of the three values to be mapped to the attribute (e.g., Solution 1 attributeValue = A, Solution 2 attributeValue = B, Solution 3 attribute value = D)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
