Change Request workflow - adding roles

Hey guys, I'm going nuts here, I hope you have some insight you can share with me.

WC 10.1 M040 (dev system)
CR workflow imported from 10.0 M030

The Requirement: We want the Assignee of the SUBMIT CR activity to choose a routing to the role CAI-CPD or role CAI-NPD so the ANALYZE CR activity gets assigned to one or the other.

The Design: Simple, I created 2 ANALYZE CR activates, one with the participant being CAI-CPD, one with the participant being CAI-NPD. I add the role to my product context and add a principal. Just like the Promotion Request workflows I have created.

The Problem: When the wf executes, it does not resolve the role, I cannon even find an error in the Process Manager, basically it does not assign to who it should. On the CR-Process-Members section, it lists the role, but it is not populated.
I've done a bunch of Problem Report workflows and this has never been an issue.

Is there something special to this CR workflow I am missing

Be well,

Vaughn

Is that role populated in the context team? It should resolve it from there.

Exactly! It is populated, so annoying.

Have you added the role to the workflow team?
In 9.1 this is Site | Utilities | Team Administrator

WINNER - Thanks Randy!

After adding the custom role to the site Change Request Team, the workflow properly used the members defined in the context team for those roles. My rookie mistake. 🙂

Antonio, the RESOLVE Roles fields were blank, so it did populate from the context team.. but only after adding the custom role to the CR Team.

And thanks Mike: I think Randy has hit the nail on the head. For CR workflows, any role you
want participants from the context team to populate workflow roles, the
roles have to be added thru Team Administrator to the default team
identified by the objects OIR. In the case of a change request, that would
be the Change Request Team.

It seems like a silly step, but all you need to do is add the role to the
Change Request Team and suddenly it will populate context team role
participants straight through to the workflow role with the same name.
