Change history information with a family of parts

I am trying to determine the best approach for recording change history for parts, drawings and cad objects.Please see the attached documents for more details.

This is a great solution for a single object (models, drawings, documents, Parts). But in our case, we have large families of parts and our users would like to see all of the changes for a family. In the same report they would also like to see changes to drawings.
