Contacts Management in PDMlink or Projectlink

Does anyone know if PDMlink or Projectlink can act as a Contacts
Management (CRM) package in addition to everything else that it can do?

Is anyone out there using it in that manner?

I know PDMlink has integration with MS Word and Excel, but what about
Outlook? Is there a button in Outlook that will allow me to store
e-mail messages that I send or receive into the PDMlink or Projectlink
database in order to maintain conversations with customers and vendors?

The CRM package that I am familiar with and that you may have hear of is
called Goldmine. We would like to accomplish this in PDMlink or
Projectlink or similar instead of having a bunch of different software
solutions.

Thanks!!

Greg,

Look into the Aerospace and Defense module, it's an add-on for Windchill.

Thanks,
Darin

BAE Australia is a WADM user with Windchill 8. The WADM won't give you any CRM type capability. Managing emails in Windchill is something many of our projects would like to do. Using Arbortext's xml block of reusable text is one option but I wouldn't adopt Arbortext just to manage emails. The Desktop Integration addon used to place a non functioning Windchill button in outlook, with Windchill 7, but this issue has been fixed in Windchill 8. It only worked with MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint. You could try integrating one of the open source CRM tools, like SugarCRM or TigerCRM, with Windchill.
