Customizing the Main Tabs in PDM link

Dear PTC Users,

Wewould like to customize the label for one ofthe standard PDM link tabs(e.g Product).

We know that there is an rbInfo file which provides the feature to change. We don't want to do that as there is specific requirment that this label "Product"has to be changed to say 'XYZ" only for users who are in customized profiles. For other users, this label should be shown as the default one as "Product".

We tried an alternate approach by having one more main tab (which is similar to the PDM link Product tab) & try modifying the label.

It works fine for our requirement but when user (in customized profile)access any other standard functionaliites provided by PTC, it redirects to the Product tab again.It should be rather redirected to customized tab.We could prevent it by appending the URL as "tab=XYZ" but this solution doesn't seem to be good one as there are lot of pages where we need to handle this redirection.

Any pointers?

Hi Karthick,

If it is just the label, I think you have to build a custom tag similar to
the HeaderTag (com.ptc.core.components.tags.components.HeaderTag)
