Disabling a label display in 10.1 customiztion

Dear Guys ,

I am performing a cutomization upgrade from WC 9.1 - 10.2 where , value (NOT A SOFT ATTRIBUTE FOR THE OBJECT) we displayed in 9.1 / 10.2 info page using DataUtility needs to be hidden without coding in the info.jsp . can this be achieved with validator. I know validators can be used with Action or Soft Attributes , but can it be used for a label / string .

I was able to get this done by setting the getlabel() = " in the Datautility which acts as a vaidator to hide the Label display in jsp / UI.
