High Level Overview of Windchill Configuration Control

Good day All

I am compiling a document (Configuration Management Plan) for a project that we are working on  and in this document I am referring to Windchill as our enabler for Config Control of all the project documentation, drawings, Plans etc.

Does anyone perhaps have a High-Level Workflow or explanation on Windchill and how it handles or facilitates Configuration Control as a whole.

So, with other words, a High-level Configuration Control Flow process in Windchill. (Generic – Not specific to any Industry) and not specific to any of the standard flows within Windchill.

Regards

Hi @Markh74

You can use plans to achieve the general process overview.

If you install Windchill ProjectLink you can allow to use a plans in Product contexts.

So you can create own plan to execute with tasks and specific users who is responsible for the process area. .

What tasks the plan contains is up to you and your company needs.

PS> you can have multiple plans for one product/context
