Yesterday, all four World Cup games ended in a draw.Last time all four games played in one day ended in a draw was 1958.

For all the soccer (football) fans out there enjoy the games for the next few weeks!!  Why did the engineer bring a ladder to the party?Because he heard that the drinks were on the house.

Be blessed. Our math teacher did not lie; we are still doing word problems: If the soccer game starts at 8:30 AM & is 30 minutes away & the football game is at 9:00 AM & is 20 minutes from the soccer game; both kids need to be at their respective fields 30 minutes early, what time do you leave? Extra credit: How much of each game will you actually get to see?

Monday (Memorial Day in the US), we will be remembering those who served our country and gave the ultimate sacrifice. I will be hosting a breakfast along the channel at Holland State Park. If your going to Vegas next week maybe we will see each other….  I recently called an old engineering buddy of mine and asked what he was working on these days. He replied that he was working on “Aqua-thermal treatment of ceramics, aluminum and steel under a constrained environment.” I was impressed until, upon further inquiry, I learned that he was washing dishes with hot water under his wife’s supervision.

Road tripping tonight/tomorrow to see if we find some sun and some warmth. Frigid in the mitten, yet warmed by the lake. 0 and below this morning with sub zero (F) wind chills. Much colder west of the lake. Snow squalls along the lake. Stay safe.
