How do I create a new information element, copied from an existing, within an Information Structure? If I copy an information element, the document number carries with it.

I'm trying to create a new information element, copied from an existing information element, within an information structure.  If I simply perform a copy/paste, the resulting copy carries the same attributes (document number, revision, etc....) of the original.
