How to set state to previous document after releasing current version

Dear all,

which is in your opionion the best way to change the state of a document/part after releasing the newest revision for it?

For example:

having document D00001 rev. 1 released

having created nre revisione D00001 rev.2 in state created

after promoting D00001 rev.2 to released state, automatically have D00001 rev.1 put in state obsolete.

Probably there's a windchill's lifecycle/workflow standard configuration/method to use, but (being quite new...) I'm not aware of it.

Thanks

Kind regards

Maurizio

You'll need to write some code for this -- within your workflow you'll have to add an "expression robot" with some code which gets the version before and set it's state to obsolete
