When a user gets a promotion request task and they click on the link to
take them to the Approve Promotion Request page they get the following
error in IE 8:
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
If you simply refresh the page then you are prompted to log in and it
works correctly from there. If you are already logged into Windchill
before selecting the link in the e-mail then there are no issues and
you go directly to the Approve Promotion Request page as you would
expect.
For some reason IE 8 gives an error instead of just prompting you to log
in like it should. I have talked to PTC tech support and they have
reviewed all the Windchill log files and find no errors there. It seems
like it must be some setting issue with Win 7 or more likely IE 8
This is only happening on some (not all) machines with Windows 7 (both
32 and 64 bit) and IE 8. We are on Windchill/Intralink 9.1 M060
Anyone else run into this issue? Found any solutions??
If I find the answer I will post a solution.
