Investigate Logs

Is there any tool available to analyze a large number of log files? If a tool is available, are there any plans to make it accessible to users?

Thank you,

Pravin Shinde

hello @PS_10220246 ,

You can have a look at Sammy Desktop. It's a tool we use internally at PTC Tech Support. We are gradually releasing it to the public. It's still in beta and access is limited, but anyone interested can contact us. You must be a PTC customer or partner (active subscription account) and have an eSupport login associated with this account.

More information on Sammy homepage : https://www.ptc.com/en/support/sammy-desktop and in particular in the Quick Start section.

My Question was generic, like in windchill system multiple logs file are getting generated so i wanted to ask is there is any tool defined so that tool can help to investigate logs quickly instead of reading each log file line by line. if there is any tool i wanted to know about that.

You'll want to look into IT or security related tools. These would be used by a system, security or network administrator to ingest log files from various sources and analyze them. Inside of Windchill you have the Server Status popup which has some tools to view and search log files online. I am assuming your are looking for something beyond this correct? Is there a specific thing you are looking to do or look for?
