Is it secure to purge paticipant cache on Windchill?

Hello,

I have a question about the "Remove from Cache" and "Purge Paticipant Cache" actions on Windchill's Participant Administration menu.

If I execute those actions, what will the consequences be?

Does the user's workspaces get cleared out?

Hi @GabrielPaes

It is safe to use. The function is used if you manipulate with ACL rules for access to the objects in contexts

Sometimes if you move user between groups or roles, the ACL ruleas are not properly changed because system uses an ACL cache somehow

so the function clears the ACL Cache. Not a Creo cache

This should help:

https://support.ptc.com/help/wnc/r12.0.2.0/en/#page/Windchill_Help_Center%2FParticipantAdminPrincipalCacheUserRemove.html

Its just a cache to help improve performance. It should have nothing to do with workspaces.
