Yes, there is, starting from Wildfire 5 (I think).

yes - but only with Pro/E, and pretty sure disabled by default.

Look for the preference 'Workspace Frame Stack Size' and set a value greater than 0.

We have it set to 0 as also use CATIA, UG & Solidworks so leave it switched off to avoid confusion for users.
