So far, here are our experiences with a test migration of Intralink 3.4 to PDMlink 9.0, was wondering if anyone else out there has had experieced these issues or has workarounds:
1) bulk creationof wtparts does not always include drawing relationships - PTC is stumpedby this issue and has no answers, the biggest issue is the randomness of when this occurrs. Many assemblies have all the relationships as they were in 3.4 but yet others have many missing drawing relationships.
2) Can not search a range ofnumerical values for a given attribute -Never a problem in Intralink 3.4, not yet possible with PDMlink
3) Table displays with numerical attributes have 12 decimal places and values are in scientific notation - not an issue with 3.4. Looking at an objects attributes the values are displayed as they appeared in 3.4, but yet the same attributes when viewed in a table display lose their formating and all have 12 decimal places and scientific notation.
4) Sorting of custom search results - not all fields sort properly, some attributes will sort correctly but not others.
Seems like items 2,3 and 4 and quite obvious, how could these items not be noticed (or corrected) prior to release of PDMlink 9.0 ? How do you explain to existing 3.4 users that functionality that once worked no longer does ? Maybe someone at PTC has an answer ?
