We are currently having issues when linking EPMDocs to CAD Parts. Our current process is that we revise the EPMDoc FIRST and then once the ECP is approved on our end, the CM group updates the WT Parts. Recently, we have been having issues with the WT parts linked to old revision of CAD documents.
I was told internally that we should be revising ALL the files at once (WTParts and EPMDoc). Is this the case with most people so the CAD/Dynamic Doc are updated correctly?
Does Windchill 10 improve on this?
Our data was migrated from an INTRALINK server, so all of our CAD files are not linked to the WTParts, we are doing this on an as-needed / as-revised basis.
I only found this error since we were revising a part that we linked previously. I was able to fix it, but it took longer than it should and the general user cannot do it anyways.
If not, we will have to change our business process, which is not always the easiest.
