I've done quite a bit of scouring of the forums, help docs, internet and can't for the life of me figure out a suitable way to tie a manufacturer part number to a Windchill Part and have it as a select-able column in either Managed Structure View or BOM Report. All I'm looking for is a WC part attribute, variable, description, etc which will persist with that WC part regardless of BOM manipulation. Right now the only work around I've got to work is using "Reference Designator" in Part Usage Info which is less than ideal. I do understand that PTC offers a module for manufacturer control, but I am not interested in that as we do not need that level of control.
