Mass move between products
I need to move a large number of CAD Documents from one product to another. (Windchill Intralink 9.1)
What I have to start with is a list of 1,200 part numbers.
For each part number, there will be multiple drawings and models that begin with the same part number prefix.
For example, for part 12345, I need to move 12345*.* from product A to product B, and in the same respective folder.
Both products were created from the same template.
They have identical QIR's, roles, policies, life cycles, & folder structure.
Is there some way to script this massive move?
Extra challenges:
Some of the CAD documents might be checked out, or in a pending promotion.
Some part numbers might not exist at all (no models or drawings).
This would most likely happen if someone mistyped a part number in the list that was given to me.
