Moving objects between PDMlink systems

Hi all,

we are running 2 seperate PDMlink system in 2 sepertate divsiions,

I now need to transfer creo files from PDMlink1 to PDMlink 2.

Thing is the transfered files woudlwould all be recognied as 'new' in the target system

Is there a method to moveitems to include all revision sscheme lifecycle state and meta data in general?

The moved files are 'new' because they really are new files to that system. PDMLink2 has no record of the files that existed on PDMLink1 before they were moved from PDMLink1, so they must be new.

You could use bulk loading methods to export from PDMLink 1 and then use different bulk loading methods to import to PDMLink 2. This would allow you to take the history, if you so chose.

For small numbers of files, could a Portable Workspace be used? I don't have access to two systems, so I can't really experiment with the functionality.

You can use the Windchill PLM Connector.

See CS40821 - Where to find documentation for installing and using Windchill PLM Connector for Windchill for links to matrices and documentation.
