OT: Digitizing Engineering Notebooks

Off Topic,

Has anyone gone and replaced paper engineering notebooks with some sort
of digital content/capture? The PDMLink "Notebook" seems too limited.
Was thinking of One Note, but that does not have any sketching tools.
Mathcad is probably too complex. Vuuch doesn't have sketching either
(that I know of).

Anyone? Ideas?

Notebook in PDMLink works well but you will need to attach files from One Note or Word etc to really get the full notebook feel. If it is a personal Notebook then I probably wouldn't use it for that though. As a shared common notebook area it can be a pretty functional way of sharing collaborative data that isn't lost in peoples emails. I just had a scenario where a guy left and his replacement coming in was COMPLETELY lost for weeks because of course there were only emails of what he was working on and those were nearly useless. Using the notebook area might not be easiest on the user but it certainly does a fair job and capturing company mindshare at times.
