OracleDBConsolewind Fails to remain running

After my PDM 9.1 upgrade from 9.0 and the Oracle 11g upgrade, the OracleDBConsolewind Service starts but does not stay running. I belive this causes the Method Server to fail and terminate.

Has anyone experienced this issue. I found in the emd.properties file in the $Oracle home\emd.properties file the agentTZRegion=-06:00 was set wrong. After configuratioin the service starts but still fails to remain running.

Any ideas anyone?

Marc,
Look in your oracle log files see if the listener is running out of memory or some other area. If you do not exactly what that means, ask and I can send more details.

I would not worry at all about the DB Console. This only the Admin GUI.

It should not affect your Windchill services.

Check if the Oracle DB itself and the listener are still running !!

Now, yes there are issues (I think about the authentication for example on Windows) about the DBConsole that can be troubles. If you have any doubts, just the dbconsole in command line as the Oracle DB User and maybe drop and create all parameters. It will stay up and running after. But sometimes as well it might fails to refresh properly in some browsers.

Juste double the issual stuff like "sqlplus /nolog @wind" and then "connect sys as sysbda" into the SQL Prompt. If this works you are ok
