Printing Change Object Info From PDMLink

We just upgraded from Windchill 6.2.6 to 9.1. We are finding it difficult to print change object information off (we print off Change Notice and Problem Report data) as a means of communication to the assembly lines. Short of doing a "copy/paste" into Word and then printing, we haven't found away to accomplish this. Any ideas? Are there adapters we could plug in to handle this?

Any suggestions are appreciated!

You can create a report using the built-in report manager, then you would print from the browser,

We created this report (custom action and JSP) for this purpose (no use of Cognos yet) specifically for this purpose, but mostly aimed at being able to print a report of a change for auditors, to avoid having to show anything live:

It pulls from CR, CN, CT:

- Attributes

- Attachments

- Affected Objects

- Approvals

It has this on the bottom:

There is a summary report that you can enable that will give you a printable, one page version. Like Mike said, if you want something different, you can create your own. Its a bit of customization but you can get exactly what you want.

Is this summary new for 9.1 ? We're running 9,0 here. Does this summary report give detailed information for a specific change or its it a general report for a range of CR or CN ?

We just upgraded to 9.1 over the weekend and our users are desperate for a printable report. Can you provideany clues on the name of the report or how we can enable it? I'd like to try this option before going off and designing a custom JSP page.

You have to install the Business Reporting Module...it will give you the ECN Summary Report that opens in Cognos.
