Promotion Workflow - Limit Define Participants cehck boxes

Just getting started on WC 9.1m040 implementation.

The final step in a user creating a Promotion Request is to Define Participants.

I have the workflow specifying the Approver as the Doc Ctrl Group, those are greyed out so users cannot de-select them. However I have the Approval set for Any since anyone in the Doc Ctrl group can Approve. This opened the door for users to add themselves as an Approver and approve it themselves.

I've modified the OOTB PromotionRequestApproval workflow. Everything is working great except I cannot seem to find the right setup to dis-allow the creator to select Participants for Approver. It's got to be there somewhere... right?

It's for this exact reason that we never used the Define Participants UI.

Instead, need to configure the workflow to pull who the Approvers need to be from a team template (rather than the context team) and instruct users not to use the Define Participants UI.

Thanks for the help gang.

I ended up specifing the Group instead of the APPROVER role, this entirely removed the column in the PR Define Participants.

Some other options were:

-Put a code check in the task transition and throw an error.

-How we did it was to configure the workflow task for Doc Ctrl an define the individual users and select Any for the voting. By doing this the column Doc Ctrl doesn't show up in the last PR's UI where the author selects from the approver list for all other roles. If this doesn't make sense to you call me it would be much easier to explain on the phone.
