Purge - includes "Site" and "Org"

In exploring Purge functionality a bit more, we notice that one can select for the context the Site and or Organization. We created Tech Support case C11865269 asking what does this do? Does it include all Product and Library contexts below or just purge any doc's stored in the folders at Site or Org.

Amazingly, Tech Support's conclusion after testing is "We don't really see what is happening when selecting these."

Anyone have experience with?

Seems that our best bet is to continue with a separate set of queries (WTDoc, EPMDoc, WTPart) for each Product and Library.

Well shoot, I would certainly escalate that one! I mean at a minimum the
technical support staff can trace down what SQL queries are generated and
get an idea of what this does or use the features available to customizers
(jcaDebug, MVC - model view controller architecture) to dig in and see what
java code is invoked. Pass that off to R&D or an internal techie to get a
better grasp.



I wish I had more info for you but I avoid purge like I would the black
plague.
