QuantityUnitRB change causing funky behavior in 'Edit BOM' jsp

I made some changes to our QuantityUnitRB bundle, through wtCustom, and now there's some wierd behavior in the edit bom jsp. Basically when you first add a part/row to the bom, you can update the Reference Designator. Once you check the bom in/out, and try to edit it a second time, ref des is disabled. If I look at the source, I can see the ref des field has the disabled tag. When I revert back to just the base QuantityUnit bundle, everything works fine.

I honestly cannot understand how the rb would cause this. It's also only in the edit bom jsp, the PSE works just as it should.

Does anyone have an idea? or run into this issue before?

Just to post the solution - I was told that the ea.value has to remain the OOTB value. If you change it you can affect the validators. Once I switched it from 'EA - EACH' back to 'each' the problem was corrected.
