Morning All
I am trying to connect to another (overseas) server in our organisation, I enter the server details and when I click "Check" I get this message.
I can connect to the server through a web browser but I can see no workspaces or even create one!
Any ideas?

Try creating a workspace via the Web Browser and then try and re-connect.
If this works then I think that there is a property or a preference that will auto-create workspace for each product context that you try and register for you automatically (if that is the behaviour that you want)

OK, so you can't even create workspace via the web browser?
If not, then you don't have permissions to do so, and this will need to be addressed by the server admin
Your account probably does not have the create/modify permission on the EPMDocConfigSpec object - this is set in the Policy Administrator.
Or your account could be in the restricted Guest or View Only role/group
