1. Name -- ?

2. File Name -- ?

3 Number -- >

In case of EPMDocument Name and Number is just like other object's name and number.

And whatever File Name or Model Name you are giving in CAD Tool (Creo etc) will become File Name or CADName in windchill.

I mean, I want to know the difference of these three attributes, use and its requirements.

Number and File Name must be unique. At my business, we do not use a naming convention so our implementor created a customization to append the autonumber to the end of the name to guarantee a unique filename.

We are currently only utilizing PDMLink, but will be implementing Projectlink this year as well as pushing our Windchill BOM into our ERP system, where Number becomes a critical.
