Curious if anyone knows how to set the thumbnail background color to black for AutoCAD documents published with the built-in DWG publisher in Windchill and not a CAD worker? I found article CS120402 which is great if you are using a CAD worker to publish but not for the default DWG publisher.

Hello,
Thumbnails generated with the creo view batch process (either on worker or Server)
the basic idea remains the same as listed in CS120402.
To perform this on the Server you will need the same preference file on the server. Following is the location where creo View recipes are located on a server
<Windchill_home>\Windchill\wvs\pview_batch\preferences\ProductView
https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/cs245433 lists the similar requirement for eda files and has server section

Thanks! When that XML file is changed, does it require a restart or anything else?
Hi,
As long as a new session of pviewbatch/ Pvsthumb is triggered (no lingering old process from any old thumbnail generator) this should not require any restart of the application
