Ever since we've moved to Intralink 9.1 from 3.4 we've noticed that models that we created using an inheritance feature have become unstable. These models used to behave properly but after migrating them to 9.1 they misbehave when they are called up. New models created in IL9.1 also exhibit this behaviour.
A typical example is an extrusion. We create a base model that has a specific drawing containing profile information. We then inherit this model into a generic model where we detail the finished family of components with specific lengths and secondary features. We frequently re-use these extrusions in multiple families and this technique has saved us from dealing with massive family tables from a single profile or having multiple models based on the same geometry but totally independent of each other.
Has anyone else noticed this? Windchill seems to have different hooks into Pro/E than IL3.4 had. One other noticeable change is that ghost objects are re-appearing and cannot be deleted. The only work-around that I've been able to come up with is to create dummy models and use the workspace Replace command to associate them with the models that created the ghost..
