Sticky Workflow Reassignments?

Sticky Workflow Reassignments?

For instance, I have a final approval stage. At this stage the approver
can select "Approve" and release the documents or select "Rework" to
send the task back to the designer for him to make changes. This works
great; however at times a manager (Manager 1) is in charge and when
Approval tasks come in, he needs to reassign those to a more pertinent
manager (Manager 2). If he does this, it works and the other guy will
get the assignment BUT if rework is done and the task is sent back to
for approval a second time, then the initial manager (Manager 1) gets
the assignment and then he has to again reassign the task back to
(Manager 2). So my question is, if I reassign a task to someone, is
there a way to ensure he keeps getting that task for the duration of the
workflow?

What other strategies might be better here?

Using PDMLink 9.1 M050

Thanks in advace!

Reassign is considered temporary.

Need to have a flag in the workflow in a complete transition so that future assignments go top same new individual or better is to remove old use from the "workflow team"

All solutions require java code to avoid manual reassignment.

Got around it by just adding in a specific Reassignment task for the
manager, he then selects which ever user he wants to do the work
(instead of reassignment in actions menu) and completes the task thus
forwarding the "work task" to whichever engineer/s the manager selected.
