We are upgrading from Windchill 9.1 to 10.2 M020 (latest! and greatest?) They are very different. I am clicking around in our test upgrade site and I am finding that it is perhaps not worth my time trying to figure out how best to work in the new site.
I was thinking that perhaps it is useful to spend some money on consultation with someone who knows 10.2 VERY WELL, and they can help guide us in the right direction at the Business Administration level for how to best work in the new environment - and how to guide the users to do their work. Please suggest, but please also supply justification, such as: "deployed and configured approximately 20 Windchill 10.2 instances for customers" ... or ... "have extensively configured 10.2 for integration into Company XYZ's business practices". FYI...we are using Change Management with ERP Connector also.
In essence, just looking for help configuring Windchill 10.2 for our business.

Hi Ben
is your company not working with a VAR ?
We have led an upgrade project from 9.1 to 10.1 which included two additional site going live with PDMLink and a global 2 step promotion process. My internal support team and I would have not been able to do it successfully without the help of our external consultant.
I have organised the set up of a test server where my support team and key users received training from the consultant. Then they have used the systems and the support team conducted a gap analysis. Some of our documentation (work instructions, best practices and policies) needed to be updated accordingly, others needed to be created new.
The Site key users were in charge of getting feedback from their site and when we knew all the gaps were filled we were confident that the go live was going to be OK. 1 week before go live, I have organized in class training for all the users. The trainers were from VAR companies. The training was organized on 4 different continents and the users were grouped according to their role.
we went live successfully with hardly no user's issue. (We actually had more technical issues than user's issue).
I do not know the size of your implementation but I would strongly recommend you work directly with VAR. They can also coordinate with other VAR if your VAR does not have a global footprint. That is what I have done with mine.
Hope this helps
PS Or was your post to search for VAR ? I would recommend to contact PTC and ask them who they would recommend for your business.
Best regards
