When the company I work for rolled out windchill they did not setup the versioning to match their current system. They felt since they were not using the windchill for anything other than a cad vault and they were controlling revs by parameters it was no big deal. So now I want to start using the revision control and release levels of windchill. We use a odd variant of the mil std. A, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, A9, B, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 and so on. I have tried updating the xml file to load a new version schema. I have tried two different ways and every time it botches up the system and ??? end up in the version column. Any help an input would be great. FYI i am trying to get them to switch to just the mil std.
