Weird IE8 Behavior

Been experimenting with different browsers.

In IE8 and Google Chrome, when I enter our PDMLink site, I type in my username and password and then:

1. in IE8 it just sits there like it's stuck. However if I pick on the reload page button it will load the page immediately.

2. In Google Chrome, it goes to this error:
The webpage at

Error 15 (net:ERR_SOCKET_NOT_CONNECTED): Unknown error.

If I pick reload page then the page loads immediately.

Anyone know what's causing this?

I'm on Window 7 64bit.

There is a known issue with IE8 accessing Windchill on https in Windows 7 where you need to refresh the page on login. PTC has posted the issue to the solutions database, but it doesn't include the fix. Tech support knows about the issue and has a fix.

"Windchill PDMLink 9.1 hangs during login on a Windows 7 using Internet Explorer 8"

SetEnvIf User-Agent ".*MSIE [6-9].*" \

David,

I agree with you on the IE8 + Win 7 combination, it takes alot of time for
Windchill to load or just hangs. Firefox on the other hand does the job
smoothly.

For the same Windchill system IE8 + XP runs fine.
