What does "SELECTBY=IN_USE" do in Query-Tree?

What does "SELECTBY=IN_USE" do in Query-Tree?

Someone in our group (that has since left the company) is using "IN_USE" for the "SELECTBY" in the Windchill Adapter's "Query-Tree" webject. Normally, we use "LATEST".

The Query-Tree documentation only says "IN_USE -- returns objects that are in use", but doesn't go on to define what they mean by "in use" (as opposed to "LATEST").

Anyone know what "IN_USE" is, and why one might want to use it?

Okay I'll shoot...it likely just doesn't apply a configuration spec or latest and instead fetches result based on an object to object aka where used relationship.

Not sure if there is an option for as stored but that or other custom configuration specs could potentially apply.

Hope that helps.
