Version: Windchill 13.0
Use Case: I am installing the WC 13 and need to install the Directory server OpenDJ on windows environment. Needs exact version of OpenDJ to install.
Description:
I am installing the WC 13 and need to install the Directory server OpenDJ on windows environment.
As per the Article - CS397683 it says to install the OpenDJ 3.5, which on page shows out of support. When checked further there are no downloads available on " https://backstage.forgerock.com/ " .
I can see the lates version of OpenDJ has been released and it is supported as per the forgerock.com.
Experts can you confirm which OpenDJ is recommended by PTC.
Which Open version I should use, It will be great help if someone can guide on this.
Thanks

In implementing any software in your environment, you need to understand your organization's security requirements. In general, I would use the latest long term supported build of OpenDJ that meets your organizational requirements. The current latest build is 4.6.3. I am not saying to use that version, but do your own due diligence. Beyond that, I am sure others may chime in with their experience on a specific DJ. We use Active Directory, so I am no help with suggesting a specific version.
Windchill supports any ldapv3 compliant data store. As of 12.0.2.x, PTC no longer supplies, nor suggests a DS/DJ version. I would use one that is supported and meets your organizations security requirements, and configure it for ldaps.
Hi Jbailey,
Thanks for the information.
So any latest version of OpenDJ can be used? I am setting up the Dev environment and would need to use the Directory server as of now. since the Article suggest using version 3.5 (which on site says its End of support) so really confused about the version of OpenDJ to be used.
Any opinion on this ?
Thanks,

Hi @Pratik_More
The link in the case is out of date. No one update it during a time so there is a link to version 3.5
It is up to you what version you use.
DS that supports ldapv3 should work.
