Hi,
I am in a same situation as this topic: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Windchill/How-to-Deal-with-Password-Protected-Excel-Documents-During/m-p/966639#M81742 where Windchill is not detecting password protected and macro enabled office files where Windchill takes load and delay the process and then Publisher Failed the files. I saw you posted the Solution. Can you please give some more detail and how you implemented this solution.
My aim is Windchill detect those file and through some kind of error so User know that the file is not appropriate etc.
Regards

I do not have access to the system I configured document publishing timeouts for any more, but there is information in the WCHC topic named "Configuring Time-Outs for the Worker Helper"
The timeout will cancel the publish job instead of letting it work on it indefinitely which will prevent any publish jobs in the queue from processing

Hi ScottMorris,
Thanks for the Reply. the time out function helps to stop publish. I reduced the time out to minimum.
