I am a Component Engineer and use Windcihll Quality Solutions for MTBF prediction. One major issue I found is that a number of parts are not available in any of the part libraries.
- When I "check for updates", does it also update for the part libraries? Or do I have to find updates for it otherwise?
- Do they update for the part libraries regularly? How often?
- Is there a way for us to add MPNs along with their MTBF data to Windchill's database if we obtained any from suppliers?
Have you had the same issue and how did you handle it? Please share your thoughts. Thank you very much.

as far as I know, there are no parts library updates any more.
Instead of updating the supplied parts library, it would be better to create your own prediction parts library. You are not restricted to only one parts library; you can have many of them in the same project.
If you have a project that is already finished, then create a parts library out of it as follows:
Then, when your second project is finished, update your library accordingly.
And so on.
