Hi,
we currently use a windows 7 pro x64 VM machine as our DEV environment. We have just upgraded to 10.1 m040 from 9.1, and now wish to add WBR to the DEV machine.
So process so far has been:
install 10.1 and perform upgrade from 9.1 dev
tested and working
Added WBR to the 10.1 dev machine:
- created WBR dbase user
- ran installer to install WBR
- ran ant command to add models and reports to Windchill / Cognos
Cognos runs fine, as does Windchill, but the two do nto seem to want to talk. Can log in as any windchil user no problem, btu the default reports do not show up in Cognos, only the 'Windchill' directory.
Also, when going into cognos config and testing the data connections, they all fail. Loads os MS messages re acccess issues.
Currently being told this is due to Cognos 8.4.1 not being suported on WIndows 7. However checking the IBMmatrix shows it would not be supported on our prod server either which runs Windows server 2008 R2. In eiher case adding a fix pack (which of course are nto supported by PTC) adds the relevant OS support.
Anyone else had issues like this and have any idea where to look to resolve?
