Help!
We are using windchill 10.1 with Solidworks 2012. Our vendor did a mass upload and we are now having to resolve all assemblies to re-attach the links.
The problems i am having are with new assemblies and existing components in the common space.
Windchill asks for certain components to be checked out in order to check in the assembly.
I am not sure why it is doing this, is there a SW setting or a windchill setting which needs to be changed so this stops.
Items i have found which will make this happen.
1) Older revision SW file
2) Virtual components - These need to be saved as a real component
3) Files built with external references- Each component needs to stand on its own.
The qustion is why does Windchill need parts checked out that have not changed or fall into the above criteria.
