Hello,

I get this error java.lang.Exception: deploy failed for (ie) with return code = 1 >

when trying to install Windchill PDMLink 11.0. on to a Windows Server 2012 Std R2 64Bt OS. Can some one help.

This does not have enough information on why it failed. Could you attach the complete PSI log and  IE_installer logs from Windchill/Installer/logs directory?

It looks like the LDAPServer/WindchillDS was down when you ran the PSI. Start the WindchillDS and run PSI in recover option

Were you able to get Windchill installed after starting WindchillDS, as suggested by Binesh? Let us know if you're still having any trouble with the installation.
