When we search the name: Machine mounts and vibration isolator in the keywords field, we get 435 parts, however, the actual number of data is 13. in 435 parts, 13 parts are not even included.
PTC engineer said that the parser will divide the word into 5 parts:
Machine* or mounts* or && vibration* or isolator*
The “space” will be parsed as “or”, the “and” will be parsed as &&," or" will be parsed as II, it will get many unexpected results.
PTC gave the following workaround, but why can't the search field be searched as a whole phrase to get accurate data?
- search classification with the first word
- use the facet search to filter the classification node which you want
Other suggestions such as classification tree, and advanced search, we also know, but we still hope that in the future, there will be an option to enable accurate search for keyword search
