The list can be exported to an excel file from the file pulldown menu of the
search results.

But anything over about 5000 objects in search results results in the process of exporting to Excel freezing in our experience.

I guess then you could query oracle to get a list of objects that are stored
in windchill

Log into oracle as DB owner

Spool cadname.log

SELECT "CADNAME", "NAME", FROM "EPMDOCUMENTMASTER";

Spool off



This should create a cadname.log from the location you logged into oracle.

You can then open it in excel.

heck with excel freezing, my Rehersal instance now says:
Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
New best practice:
Teammates please kindly pre-calculate the effect of your search terms upon our new Windchill system as finding too many matches to the system has been known to cause the system to crash. Oh pretty please do not crash the system intentionally..

Enterprise, this is Kirk, please beam me up as there is no support for enterprise level tasks down here. Wait, disregard last transmission, send the old 3.4 shuttle, it can do the job for the enterprise....

Maybe doing a search per object type would help.
