We are just beginning to explore the uses of ProjectLink and a question has come up in relation to completed tasks. We have a project plan for a process that is very well defined and repeatable, so much so that we would like to use automatic execution and delivery of tasks.
However, there is one downstream activity that, if not completed in a timely manner, will cause an earlier task to become "invalid" and the plan will have to loop back.
(In our particular case, a valid letter of credit is a required activity in the plan, but that letter of credit is only valid in a certain date range. If the plan lags and the letter of credit expires, a new letter of credit will be required and all related activities will have to be redone.)
It doesn't appear that there is any way to "rewind" the tasks so that they can be repeated. Is that correct? Is the only solution to suspend the plan and add new activities to redo the invalid tasks? Will autoexecution proceed as normal once the plan is resumed?
Thanks,
John
