updating discrete set of values for a wtdoc soft type attribute

Hello,

Has anyone tried or been successful in updating a discrete set of values
for a wtdoc soft type attribute using an input file? If so, did you use
info engine or the data loader? I talked to PTC support about this and
they said currently you can only do this from the GUI that updates the soft
type. But, I'm hoping someone has found a way.

Hi,

maybe not exactly what you are looking for, but we sell a tool that can
do (amongst other things) exactly that.
you can use files, excel sheets, I*E tasks or Java classes to feed the
values, even thousands of them.

you can download a demo of it from our webpage.

Hey Rey,

I just stumbeled upon your question concerning the update of the discrete set of values.

We have the same requirement, we need a daily update of the discrete set of values for a certain IBA on a WTDoc subtype.

In fact the discrete set should contain hundreds of values, I don't know if this is even possible.

Did you find a way to update the discrete set without having to use the "Type- and Attribute Manager"-GUI?

Kind regards

Paul
