using a workflow to approve/release proe files

how can i use a workflow to move a drw from "in work" to "released" without creating an assignment for the drw, the asm and the 10 parts that go with it? i just want the drw file to go thru the workflow process and then in the end all the "required" files are also promoted to "released". has anyone been able to accomplish something like this?

Does your requiement is just doesn't need the assignment, if like this, you can edit the ootb promote workflow.

i want an assignment for just the drw file and not all the associated files that go with it. but in the end i want the ability to promote the drw file and the associated files.
