Hi Fellow Windchillers,

AM in the process of installing a patch for WinDU and WinRU for Windchill 10.1 M030.

1. To install the patch 10.1-M0X0_WINDU_WINRU_PS6.jar have unzipped the contents into a folder and am running the following in windchill shell:
java -jar 10.1-M0X0_WINDU_WINRU_PS6.jar --install <windchill>
where <windchill> refers to the product installation directory where you are installing the patch
After completion of installation (log attached) on running "windchill version" it displays no patches are installed. Please help me for installing this patch.

Thanks,
Amol

Amol,
Make sure that you have the WindchillDS (directory server) service running before you install the patch.

Below is the error, either user "amoladmin" does not have admin rights ( Windows permission ) or Windchill is running and Method server locked that file

java.io.IOException: Unable to move 'C:\ptc\Windchill_10.1\Windchill\srclib\pdml\DDLBasic-windu.jar' to 'C:\ptc\Windchill_10.1\Windchill\srclib\pdml\DDLBasic-windu.jar~original2204914747399996953' in order to replace it.

Hope it helps.

When you launch your "Windchill Shell" right-click and select "Run as
Administrator"

Then run your patch install command.
