I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.0.2 how can I store the fonts, frame, drawing configuration files and material library in Windchill to re use from CATIA while creating new model.

Dear Team,We are trying to check in a CAD Model from Creo Parametric. For example, our CAD Model number format like “*****_*****_*****.PRT”, now if we click on auto associate the WTPart will be created only with initial 10 characters: “*****_*****”. We don’t want to involve any customization, want to achieve this scenario using configuration changes. Is this possible?

I have a workflow with 4 optional routes, where users can select any combination of the routes during execution. At the end of the workflow, I am using an AND connector because I need the process to continue only after all selected routes are completed.The issue is that the AND connector waits for all 4 routes to complete, even when only 2 or 3 routes were actually selected.Has anyone handled a similar requirement in PTC Windchill workflows? I’m looking for the best approach to make the connector wait only for the routes that were chosen by the user.I’ve also attached a Word document to better explain the workflow scenario and expected behavior.

Problem:Windchill ADU licenses reset at 00:00 GMT. For customers outside GMT, this reset lands inside the local working day. Melbourne customer (GMT+10/+11) experiences the reset at 10-11 AM local, users arriving at 8-9 AM cannot log in when the pool is exhausted and must wait 1-2 hours.Proposed Solution:Define the ADU 24-hour window using the connected Windchill server's timezone, not GMT.Why:The PTC PLM Licensing Basis document (Oct 2024) already defines Windchill Platform Structures ADU, ThingWorx Navigate ADU, and Daily Login basis as using the connected server's timezone. The product behavior should match the contractual definition.

If so, what methods, techniques or customizations have you implmented for it? I'm also curious how many customers would have an interest in DAM as a component of Windchill? Hoping someone might have already solved this one and be willing to share their approach. By default any floating point number passed to an EPMDocument from a CAD file has the precision set to the max (14 I think), which means the value has to show using scientific notation, which is not easy to read. There is a configuration option to ignore precision, but then you lose all precision on all attribute values on all objects, which does not meet our requirements. Ideally I would like to control the display of those particular attributes to limit the number of significant figures, which is going to take some level of customisation. Perhaps modifying the data processor to change rendering for a configured list of attributes, or catching the store of the attribute value and reducing the precision.Has anyone tackled this issue, able to share any details or lessons learned?

Hi all, I have the Part Configuration object. I have to load / bulk create 100’s of Part Instances with Serial Nos, by giving the serial nos and basic info in an excel sheet or .csv sheet.Is this possible? We are in Windchill 12.1.Alternatively, is it possible to create a new WRS domain for Part Instance and define some custom PUT/POST functions in it? Any experience on how this can be achieved.Best RegardsHari

Hello,In my current project, I need to define custom attributes on context objects (Product, Library, and Project).I'm wondering what the recommended approach is:Subtyping the OOTB context types (wt.pdmlink.PDMLinkProduct, wt.inf.library.WTLibrary, wt.projmgmt.admin.Project2) to add the attributes on the subtypes, or Modifying the OOTB types directly through the Type and Attribute Manager?My main concerns are upgrade safety and long-term maintainability. Subtyping feels cleaner, but I'm not sure if context types behave differently from regular object types in that regard, particularly when it comes to container creation and template resolution.Does PTC have any official documentation?Thanks in advance.

 Hey all! In Creo, we have a default Coordinate System as shown in the image that is viewed as Creo’s Standard Orientation (I believe is Trimetric). However, when I Windchill’s visualization viewer, it looks like it imposes a different coordinate system (Y and Z are switched) in Windchill. Does anyone know of any tricks to align these views?Currently all of our thumbnail views are being shown from the bottom on all parts which isn’t as helpful as it should be! Hi,While setting up a FMEA worksheet for an aerospace application, I am unable to locate the ‘SAE ARP5580 Standard’ in the list within the Windchill Risk and Reliability 11.1 Team Edition CPS11 tool.I’m wondering why this aerospace standard is not included in the tool. When editing classification nodes the delete icon for classification nodes is exactly the same as the delete icon for the entire classification namespace. They are also relatively close together.Deleting the entire namespace is a very bad thing to do!It would be better if the delete icons were not the same and not so close together.
