Version (Design)?

I was reviewing our Publish Monitor queue and noticed some odd Version numbers that had "(Design)" after the number. I looked up one of the part numbers, and there is no such version in the assembly's history. (see attached)


It doesn't appear to be causing any problems, but I wonder if anyone has seen this before and knows what might be creating it?

objects with (Design) are the wtparts which may not always be the same version of the respective epm docs


associating a document to a wtpart will update the iteration of the wtpart but not effect the epm docs. so if you serach for the epm doc that particular iteration may not exist.
