How to access the hidden UNC path with "$" in Creo

We have mapped some modelcheck properties to write report on shared location.

Due to security reasons IT has shared those UNC path with $ designation. This makes those shared path as hidden, user able to access those path in windows explorer  and have read and write permissions. Creo is not able to write the reports at that location.

Any idea how to deal with $ in UNC path inside Creo?

Creo supports the UNC path but doesn't support the hidden UNC path (share path with $ in it which makes it as hidden share and IT prefers it because of security reasons)

Same I have checked with PTC TS and reply as below:

  • Windows Hidden drive paths are currently not supported with Creo 1.0- 3.0 or old version of ProE. Refer CS127872 for more details.

Devidas,

Creo sometimes accepts UNC path, sometimes not (in this case you have to map UNC to drive letter). I suggest you to open Case at PTC Support and ask them...
