3D cabling not showing in cross section when thick display is enabled

I am trying to display wire endpoints in a section view of my cable assembly & only the centerline will display, Even when I exclude the harness.prt from the section view in the model it only appears when it is not behind a sectioned area. 

Everything I find online suggests: Drawing View → View Display → Cable Display→Thick but that does not resolve my issue. Any help is appreciated!

Also, feel free to add any additional information you think might be relevant. It sometimes helps to have screenshots to better understand what you are trying to do.

I'm a little unsure of what you mean, but I find that when I'm making cabling drawings, sometimes I have to set the view display to hidden and then regenerate to get some things to work.  Sometimes I run into issues with the shaded options.
